Mediation for custody

Who attends mediation for custody? My attorney stated I would be getting a letter.
Me,my husband (with who we are separated) and who else?
Does my attorney go? I seeking full custody.

Does the court appoint a mediator?
and is there a charge for this?

If there is a custody action filed with the court, then there is court ordered custody mediation for both parents.

In the court ordered custody mediation, the only people that attend besides the mediator are the two parents. Attorneys are not present.

Each county or judicial district has a custody mediation office with a group of custody mediators (or just one mediator in the smaller districts) who will mediate each custody case.

Since custody mediation is court ordered any time there is a custody action filed, there is no charge.
