Alimony and Distribution of Property

Dear javaking66:

No, you must ask the court for alimony and equitable distribution or it won’t be given. It will notbe forced on you. Thank you.

The response posted above is based upon the limited factual information made available and is not intended as a full and complete response to the question. The only reliable manner to obtain complete and adequate legal advice is to consult with an attorney, fully explain your situation, and allow the attorney sufficient opportunity to research the applicable law and facts required to render an accurate opinion. The basic information provided above is intended as a public service but a full discussion with an attorney should be undertaken before taking any action.

Should Alimony and Distribution of Property be asked for by dependent or court may force the supportor to give it to dependent without he having asked for it?

The reason I ask is, I am thinking my divorce will “probably” go uncontested. However my spouse is entirely dependent on me as he does not earn at all.
