# Alimony/pss

My pss will end in Aug. 2009. I’m still not divorced. Will I be eligible for Alimony?

You may be awarded alimony and will need to set the issue for trial.

I listed an incorrect date when my post separation support will end it’s August 2010.  
So you’re saying I can still file for permanent alimony even though we’re only legally separated?  
I was told you had to be divorced to qualify for alimony

No, you need not be divorced to get alimony, however alimony cannot be awarded until (or at the same time) as the court determines Equitable Distribution.
