Annullment

If a marriage gets annulled (due to bigamy) does the person at fault can it be removed from paperwork (ie, car loans, house title, etc). Also can that person be punished?

A bigamous marriage is not annulled as it was never valid to begin with.

I believe (and remember, I’m not a lawyer…) that the house would just be changed to ‘tenants in common’ or some terminology similar (as husband/wife would not be applicable), and the car would basically just be like a co-signer in a way…they would not be removed unless a refinance were to happen to get them off, and that may involve payout as well, to buy the other party out of his/her share…because it is still a common asset.

Again, just my opinion…
