Greetings. I do not know. Speak with an attorney that handles landlord/tenant issues. Thank you.

I LIVED IN AN APARTMENT COMPLEX FOR 3 YEARS. 1 1/2 YEARS AFTER MOVING IN I BOUGHT A DOG. OF COURSE THERE WAS A PET DEPOSIT AND I PAID IT. I HAVE PROOF THAT I PAID IT. THE APARTMENT COMPLEX HAS SINCE SWITCHED PROPERTY MANAGMENT COMPANIES AND THE NEW COMPANY SAYS EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A PROOF THROUGH PAID CHECKS THAT IT WAS A PET FEE NOT A PET DEPOSIT AND THEY ARE MAKING ME PAY IT OVER AGAIN SINCE I’VE MOVED OUT. PLEASE HELP!!! I FEEL LIKE I’M BEING LOOKED AT AS A FOOL. WHAT KIND OF DOCUMENTATION DO I NEED?
