# Being married to two men

if a person had married a man and separate and married another man. is the second marriage in effect or true. and what if she divorced the first man and still with the second one. help…

You cannot be married to two persons at the same time. The second marriage is invalid.

You do not need an annulment. If you were married at the time you married the second man, the marriage was never valid.

I cannot advise you on the law anywhere other than NC. There is nothing you need to do in this state.
