# Can EQ Dist. be signed before divorce

Yes. If it must go to court, then it can be signed by a judge. If it’s by agreement then it does not need to be signed by a judge, simply the spouses and notary. This can be done at any time as long as it is done prior to absolute divorce being granted. After that time, the right to file claim is gone unless there is a statement that ED will be decided later.

I am needing to know if the EQ Dist. can be finalized and signed by the judge before an absolute divorce is granted.
