I receive chemo treatments for my cancer. I have a rider on my insurance that pays me. I use that to pay the deductibles and co-pays. There is money left over. Can that be counted as income and considered when calculating alimony?
Any money you receive from any source, even if small, should be taken into consideration for the purposes of calculating alimony. Whether it is looked at as monthly, recurring income or not will really depend on the frequency and whether there is a guarantee you will receive it.
