Dear ace:

Greetings. If the separation agreement does not contain a clause that allows alimony to stop upon cohabitation, then it does not. Sorry about that. Did you have an attorney assist you with the agreement?

I’m divorced and have a separation agreement. I’m currently paying alimony. My ex is planning on moving in with someone, however, the separation agreement doesn’t specify cohabitation as a reason to stop alimony, any laws in NC that would cover that.
