Child Custody Not Married

My daughter has a child born 1 year ago. 6 Months ago baby daddy moved out. To date he has not paid any child support even though there is a child support order in place. I’m sure that will work its way out.
They had an agreement that I helped them draw up, but he decided to withdraw from the custody and visitation agreement and go another route. In court the Judge told them to work it out in mediation.
She is concerned with him going to the day care and taking the baby. Is there anything she can do to keep him from picking up the child from the day care?

They have not moved to mediation yet and he has not had any unsupervised visitation ever.
Thank you…

Your daughter should advise the daycare to not let the father pick up the child.

However, the best way to handle this is for there to be a court order (either resulting from custody mediation or from a trial/hearing with the judge). The court order could address who can or can’t pick up the child from daycare and if so, the daycare will need a copy of the court order.
