Yes, child support should be used to pay day to day expenses. Medical expenses are generally split over and above child support.

I have been separated for i year this October 5th. I have been adhearing to my separation agreement and have been taking care of my child support payments as required. I pay $530/month for my two children. My soon to be ex and I have joint custody…she has them one week and I have them the next. She constantly is trying to get me to split various expenses she has when the children are with her. Is that not why I am paying her child support? Is the money I pay her to be used for expenses for the children when they are with her?
