# Child Support

Is child support from a previous marriage marital property during ED from a subsequent marriage? If the child support was placed in a joint account but not used does that impact the ED decision?

No, child support is not an asset, but ongoing support for the benefit of a child, and should not be impacted by the location of the funds and where the were deposited.
