Custody Spilt

what are the “typical” custody splits in a normal divorce in NC? My husband is threatening to take my daughter FT, based on the fact I travel for work… She is 7. I have traveled for our entire 18 year marriage.

I emailed my boss yesterday and told her I needed to stop traveling other than what’s on the books for the remainder of the year. My travel does not impact my daughter’s well-being.

It’s difficult to say what is typical, because all situations are different, and the court will enter an order that works for your family’s situation and schedule. It’s hard to set a custody schedule when one party travels frequently and his or her schedule isn’t set. You need to put together as good of a set schedule as you can to present to the judge so you can ask for that to be ordered.
