My friend was in jail in 2018 because he didn’t have papers, he married his ex girlfriend because she offered to help him. They got married December 6, 2018 in a jail in Georgia. She has never went to visit him in El Salvador. My friend wants to divorce her but my question is can he get it annulled? When they got married, they didn’t get to kiss so that marriage hasn’t been imitate with each other.
If the husband is a resident of North Carolina, then the husband cannot get the marriage annulled under these circumstances, he must obtain an absolute divorce. If the husband is not a resident of North Carolina, then the law where he is currently a resident will apply.
