Doctors

#1

I have two statement from my doctors that I have no history of violence in my record. The one doctor counseled my wife, and she mentioned nothing to him about fears of safety while counseling her. She brought this action against me. My attorney never submitted the doctors statements as evidence, and didn’t subpoena them to testify.

Would you have submitted this as evidence and subpoena both doctors to testify?

I can’t say for sure without having handled the case, however a doctor’s statements regarding your history (or lack thereof) of violence would not be what I would consider the best evidence. The issue goes to the doctors limited knowledge of what happens outside of their offices.

What if he counseled me and my wife, and she never mentioned anything to him about verbal or physical abuse. He counseled her alone and she never mentioned anything. My Pastor counseled me and my wife, and she never mentioned anything about abuse.

A few months later she filed a divorce for separation from bed and board, and a restraining order against me.

Again, I cannot say for sure as I did not handle the case.
