# Does Summary Judgment mean divorce?

Dear Laurie:

Greetings. No, a Motion for Summary Judgment means that there is no issue why the judge should not just rule in favor of the claim. The divorce is not granted until there is a divorce order/judgment. Thank you.

If the judge receives a Summary Judgment from the plantiff’s attorney…does that mean the plantiff is now divorced?
