Earnings while separated if there's a reconciliation

I learned from the excellent video by Lee Rosen at your website that assets a party has before a marriage are not part of what’s in the “cauldron” that gets divided by ED when obtaining an absolute divorce. I believe it also said that money earned after a couple has separated is not a marital asset. My question is what happens if the couple attempts to reconcile, but then separates again and proceeds to an absolute divorce. Does the money that was earned during the first separation become a joint marital asset at the time the first separation ends?

Not unless the money was placed in a joint account after the reconciliation and before the second separation.
