A special setting is generally a setting outside of the judge’s normal calendar where they hear your case. You should contact the clerk in your county to ask how to set these matters for hearing.

My husband will not sign a financial separation agreement unless he gets 50/50 or full custody of the kids. What can I do to move this thing along? My 14-year-old children do not want to live with their father and he has started all this in the Fall of last year with no progress towards resolution. We had a court date, which unfortunately the docket was overbooked. The judge recommended we do a “Special session”? What is that and how do I get that as soon as possible?
