Neither didn’t file for ED before the divorce was final and we own land and 2 homes together, what could happen to the property. I live on the property which has 2 houses on it I live in one and my son lives in the other. I don’t know what I need to do at this point, can you tell me what I need to do?

If you did not file for ED and are now divorced, the law treats you as any other joint property owners, and not as married persons. In order to divided the property you must proceed with an action to partition the land via the real property laws of North Carolina. You will need to contact an attorney who practices in the area of real property law.
