Can a spouse buy a home before a divorce settlement is established? We are only separated and discovery has not even been released in full on his part.
The home is quite expensive, and he is trying to leave myself and his two step children without any home at all.

He may buy the home, but should not do so without a Free Trade Agreement, otherwise, even though the home would be his separate property you, as his spouse would have certain estate rights in the same if he were to die prior to divorce.
