Was there a agreement that he will pay you back? but I think once you became married that became marital property, has he contributed to the mortgage payments. all things said must be proven by documentation not word of mouth.

I bought a home before we were married in my name alone. However, it was the home that he was renting. He has 2 sons that he has primary custody of. I put $20,000 down on the house and since have put an additional $60,000 in remodeling. All of this money came from my personal account, my family and the sale of the home I lived in before I bought this one. Does my husband have any claim to the home? We have been married 7 months. I’ve owned the home 8 months.
