Three videotape recorders were planted in smoke detectors in a townhouse my company rented for me during a work trip in High Point, NC for market set up. The pictures were then brought forward in divorce discovery. It was determined to be illegally obtained because I was in a rental with a reasonable expectation of privacy. The evidence was never fully turned over so exactly what is on the tapes, for example audio, is unknown. No criminal charges were brought by the High Point police but they encouraged me to pursue a civil case. I would like to take some sort of legal action before the statute of limitations is up to block the use and distribution of the three tapes. I have heard from my children that my ex regularly discusses the tapes. What kind of attorney do I contact for this type of work?
I would contact someone whose practice focuses on representing plaintiffs in civil litigation.
