# Inheritance

Hello,  
My spouse moved out several months ago. I may be about to receive a large sum of money or an inheritance. Would this money affect the outcome of a possible divorce? Would my spouse benefit in any way from me receiving this money or be entitled to any of the money?

No, your inheritance is your separate property and would be whether or not you were separated from your spouse.
