We’ve been married for 9 years. My husband received a large settlement from an accident that he was involved in about 3 years ago. He put the money in a money market account under his name only so that I couldn’t have access to it. Now that we are looking at separating and divorce he says that I am not entitled to any of the money and states that he’s talked with a lawyer who told him that there was something called “Earned Income”. We have 2 children together that I will have custody of I’m sure. Is what he says true or is he just trying to bluff me. Any responses would be appreciated.
