Which county has jurisdiction?

Child support was handled in custodial parent’s county. NCP lives several counties away and wants to file for visitation maybe custody. Child was born and has lived in CP’s county, Which county has jurisdiction? Never been an action for custody

Jurisdiction depends on the state, each county is a different venue. In this case if an action already lies in the Cp’s county venue is proper there, if not you may file in your county.
