# Leaving the Marines

He would need to file a motion to modify child support, if the change is contested. If the change is not contested, then your son and his ex can enter into a consent order and file it with the court.

My son is leaving the Marines after 8 years of service and moving back up north. He has a court order to pay $630.00 a month which is taken out of his pay. With him leaving at the end of the month he wants to modify his support. Would the form consent agreement and order to modify child support order be enough or does he need other forms? Thank you
