My son’s dad has him ten school days a month and I have him ten school a month. He spends about $4 a day on lunch. So that comes to $80 per month. It adds up. Hid dad thinks I should pay the whole amount out of child support money. I think I should only be expected to pay for the days he is with me. $40 per month. Additionally I try to pack his lunch as much as possible. More healthy. So is it fair that we split the cost of lunch money?
It sounds like you have a joint custody arrangement, and you should be using Worksheet B to determine the child support obligation. Worksheet B contemplates a true sharing of expenses, so it would be appropriate to split expenses such as school lunches.
