Your frustration is completely understandable and this is a situation I face with my client’s often. A judge has many responsibilities in addition to hearing cases. After a case is over a Judge may have to spend a considerable amount of time reviewing evidence and making a decision, they may also be drafting order, hearing cases in other courtrooms, and handling other administrative duties. The Judge may have had many things to do that day, they just did not involve scheduled hearings.

I know that it is frustrating but if you are persistent you will eventually get your day in court. I wish you the best of luck.

OK. Thanks for your answer, but there was no mention of continuance…just the judge said he didn’t have time! So, because he didn’t have time, I have to take on the responsibility of refiling and rescheduling??? This judge came in when Court was not even scheduled!!! No other cases pending!!! Nobody in Courtroom and nothing on the docket! And he didn’t have TIME! Place was deserted! Nothing posted and NOBODY waiting!!! And he would NOT hear MY motion!!
