If the Amendment goes through how does that affect those of us that were not married to our child’s father? How does that affect our child’s right to inherit? The NC law states, once paternity is established the child is legitimated as if the parents were married, won’t this amendment affect that law and make it unconstitutional? How would it affect visitation and custody rights of the unmarried parents???
