My husband and I are separating. We have a 5 yr old daughter and I want custody. There is a history of abusive behaviors on his part with three police calls I’ve made since 2009. I just had assault charges dropped on him because I didn’t want him to lose his job. We also own a house together. What is the likelihood that I would not be able to get full custody of my child?
Your best option is to negotiate an agreement with him. If you can’t, and you end up in court, then you would need to show evidence of the abuse to obtain the most favorable outcome.
