You would simply need to send a letter indicating that you have moved into the house and you do do not wish for him to return to the premises.

A little background…ex & I separated 2/1/07. Children & I moved to a new residence because he refused to leave. He has since vacated the property, remarried, etc. The marital home is now vacant and has been on the market for over a year. My attorney advised me to “take possession” of the house, change locks, etc. What kind of notice do I need to give to ex that he is no longer allowed on the property?
