One name on the deed

Two years ago we bought this house, were we live now. Both name were put on the deed at closing. A few months later I asked to have my name removed as I was having serious credit problems .

Now facing divorce, do I have any right to a part of this property.
The house was paid off last october. The money can from hubby’s stock shares.

It depends on the wording in the deed. If there is a waiver of your N.C.G.S. 50-20 rights, then you may have waived that particular property being considered in Equitable Distribution. If not, he has to show that you intended to relinquished your right and it’s stated clearly on the deed.

Otherwise, the property will still be subject to equitable distribution
