How difficult is it to prove Parental Alienation Syndrom? My ex lives in NJ with our son. I haven’t been able to speak with him on the phone for several weeks now. I wanted to come up there for a visit next month, gave her plenty of notice. She denied me because our son has plans already. This is the 4th time I have tried to see him and she comes up with excuses every time. What is PAS? Is it difficult to prove?
If someone files contempt and has a lot of charges against the other party what is the likely outcome if found in contempt for the first offense?

A discussion of parental alienation is beyond the scope of this forum. I would advise you to file a motion for contempt if your ex is keeping your child away from you in violation of a court order. The outcome/ sanctions flowing from a finding of contempt are within the judge’s discretion.
