I chose Alimony, but not because I don’t feel I should pay, I chose alimony because I don’t know for how long I will be paying. My Court Order does not have a termination date and I have paid 3 years already. I am 56 and would like to retire at 65, but I might be working till I die unless I win the lottery or can amend the Court Order and establish a termination date.
