If your Wife is seeking to renew the order you will be notified via certified mail or the sheriff. You should contact the clerk of court for domestic violence in your county and make sure they have your current address. If you do not receive any notifications of further proceedings, you do not need to go to court on that date.

My wife filed an Order of Protection (Consent Order) back in December and it is effective until June 18, 2008. How do I know if I need to go back to court on June 18?
