i have a question, in NC, if a married couple is separated-there is a one year separation period before you can file for divorce-if during this period if either couple gets into another relationship, is that considered infidelity during the marriage? what i really would like to know, is if one person (lets say the wife) does find herself in another relationship, could that have an effect on alimony, child support or even child custody when they file for divorce-and if yes-what type of proof would the husband need, is this an instance where an investment in a private investigator makes sense?
