# Seperation term and lying

He is correct you do not have to show proof.

Of course you both become felons for lying under oath but thats up to you. Your an adult and if you want to do 3-5 years in prison go ahead.

Well, I have never been good at lying. However my husband could get an A+ in that subject. At least I know what that would make me if I played along. Which I won’t do. I need to do this right.

My husband says that in NC it is not required to show proof of seperate residences for a year. That if we both sign a paper saying we lived seperate for a year that would be enough. As long as one of us didn’t dispute it no one would question it or require physical proof. Is this true? Or is he just feeding me a line?
