Sex offender evaluation

My ex is required by a court order to have a sex abuse assessment. We were not aware of anything around here that is called that. It appears he is having a sex offender evaluation. What does this entail and how can i be assured this is a legit and detailed assessment? He is a manipulator and can easily lie his way through stuff. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Local counselors’ or therapists’ offices may offer such assessments or have information on them. Your county’s probation and parole office may have information on local programs of that nature. Otherwise, you may need to return to court to get clarification from the judge about the type of program he or she intended on your ex participating in. What such an assessment entails will likely depend on the nature of the case and the reasons your ex was ordered to complete the assessment.
