Dear Gomo:

Greetings. First, do not post again if you are not answered as quickly as you would like, as you push yourself back to the end of the list. Next, sure you can negotiate with her, using your leverage properly, compelling her to sell you her portion of the house. Thank you.

My wife and I have been married for a little over a year and I want a divorce. My question is when we bought our house we were not married. I am the only one on the loan and the deed shows her as 38% ownership interest as tenant in common. She does not want to move out of the house but also will not pay the mortgage by herself. We both work but I make more. Can I make her sell me her portion or in some other way make her move?
