Once initial papers are served…usually 60 days if there are no objections/continuances. This is variable though depending on court schedules.

Papers are ‘served’, then the defendant has 30 days to respond, then you have to get a court date, then at the court date, the divorce is finalized.

I was told it was 30 days from the filing date? Can an attorney please verify this?[?] Papers were filed and the Acceptance of service was signed and returned to the attorney who filed the absolute divorce. (the other parties attorney)

What is the timeline once the absolute divorce is filed to be FINAL? - (It was filed on Nov. 5th 2008)
