Dear javaking66:

Greetings. Was it a complaint or answer and counterclaims? Also, if it was a complaint, did your attorney sign an acceptance of service? Thank you.

Dear javaking66:

Greetings. First, your attorney should not have accepted service without your express consent. Next, if your attorney did accept service, then yes, it is valid service. Thank you and good luck.

I hired an attorney to do my divorce. The complaint was just for Absolute Divorce. The defendent came back and filed a complaint against me for post seperation support and alimony.

However, the complaint(for post seperation support and alimony) was not served to me. It was served to my attorney. Is this considered valid service?
