What does it mean when another state has jurisdiction?

My wife and I lived in and were married in Kentucky before moving to NC a couple years ago. The prenuptial agreement says the State of Kentucky will have jurisdiction over any matter relating to the agreement.

What exactly does that mean? Does that mean we have to go to Kentucky to argue the matters relating to the pre nuptial? Do we submit our case to NC courts with the laws of Kentucky applying? Or does it not really mean anything since we no longer live there?

It means that the laws of Kentucky will be used in resolving disputes related to the agreement.
