My year and 1 day is almost up. It will be on Oct. 19th. When do I contact my lawyer to file for divorce? Do I go ahead and call them or wait?
The divorce complaint cannot be filed before Oct. 19, so you should wait until it is closer to that date if you want to contact your attorney. The court date will not likely be until December or even January, since 30-60 days out is not unusual.
