I was wondering if your law firm knows of any attorneys who handle cases in Cumberland County on perhaps an hourly or low retainer fee basis? I currently live in Louisiana, however, my ex has filed for a property distribution in NC. I am willing to agree to whatever he wants, but I cannot get him or his lawyer to answer my request for a settlement proposal. All I need an attorney to do is write a letter to his attorney asking for a proposal and perhaps file and draft the needed affidavits. We’ve been ordered to mediation, and I am hoping to just settle. I am going to agree to whatever he wants, but I think I have to file some affidavits and inventories and I am not familiar with court procedure in NC. Can anyone help with some suggestions?
