Child Support

#1

The only time I have heard of this is if you and your husband have a child together or if you have taken on finacial responsibility for that child.

Unless you have a biological child with your new Husband your income would not be included in the child support calculation.

Someone told me that my husband’s ex-wife could petition the court to recalculate child support and include my income (which would increase the child support obviously.) Why would I have any financial obligation to my husband’s child? I have never heard of being able to use a new spouses income to calculate child support payments.
