Court Date

Sorry, Same here in Mecklenburg county.

Your attorney is probably attempting to look for a date when the matter is likely to be heard. It could be scheduled for an earlier date but generally that means the court will not have time to hear your case and it will end up having to be rescheduled, every time it gets rescheduled the matter will be pushed out farther and farther. It is often better to schedule it far out in the beginning on a date when you are confident the case will be heard.

My attorney just told me the first available date the judge assigned to my child custody and ED cases (Wake County) is the end of March or beginning of April. That is 5 months out at a minimium. What happened to a fair and speedy trial? Is there a way to move up the court date?
