I your house was repoed and both your names was on the mortgage then I doubt if he was able to purchase another home in his name or even have or be a cosigner for anyone-else.

I am not sure what property if you are talking about. If there was equity in the home that was lost as a result of the repossession, you may be able to get to get some compensation from him for the equity that was in the home. If there was no equity in the home, there was no asset to be divided on the date of separation.

my husband and i have been seperated almost a year and no legal papers other than a domestic violence agreement has been made. i had to let my home be repossed and find something else to rent because he did not want to take his name off the mortage and at the time we were behind in payments because he was trying to live with me and another woman. But the had money to purchase another house a month after. what kind of legal grounds do i have to the property
