Dismissal with prejudice

I recently received a letter stating my ex wife voluntarily dismissed alimony with prejudice. Does this mean we can’t change the mediation agreement or does it mean I don’t have to pay anymore? Confused

It sounds like your ex-wife dismissed her alimony claim because it was settled in mediation by way of a separation agreement. It does not mean that you don’t have to pay anymore and it does not change your mediation agreement if the mediation agreement is binding.

If there is a court case but the parties go to mediation and settle the issues in a separation agreement, then the party making a claim with the court must dismiss that claim because it has been settled outside of court prior to any court dates.
