I recently filed for divorce pro sent in chatham county. I chose to serve my spouse by certified mail. My question is, will my court date be based on the date I filed or the date he received (or answers) the complaint? Also, how long should I expect to wait for a court date? Thank you.

Once you serve the complaint, your spouse will have thirty days to respond. Then you will need to draft and serve a notice of hearing and notice of divorce hearing. Your hearing has to be no less than ten days after the notice of hearing was served.
