Divorce from Bed and Board - Question

Hello, I recently moved my family to Belmont NC from Ohio this past August 17, 2015 (four months ago).
I plan to file for Divorce from Bed and Board in Gaston County ASAP due to my wife having an affair, but read something about six month residency.
Do I have to wait until Feb 17, 2016 to file, or may I go forward now?
Please respond as quickly as possible…
Jeff

You are fine to move forward with the divorce from bed and board as long you set forth in your complaint that either you or your ex has been a resident of the State of North Carolina for at least six months next preceding the filing of the complaint. So she would still need to live here in order for you to file here.
